Datenquellen fungieren bei ViraFlow als Trigger für Workflows. Das bedeutet, dass Workflows automatisch gestartet werden, sobald bestimmte Ereignisse in einer angebundenen Datenquelle auftreten, beispielsweise das Erfassen neuer Datensätze oder die Aktualisierung bestehender Informationen.

ViraFlow unterscheidet drei Typen von Triggern:

• Email- Trigger: (überwacht ein E-Mail-Postfach) und startet bei jeder neuen E-Mail angeschlossene Workflows
• Dateibasierte Trigger: z.B. JSON, XML oder CSV- Dateien. Diese Trigger starten Workflows, wenn an eine Datei ein neuer Datensatz angefügt wird oder wenn eine neue Datei (von einem Quellsystem) erzeugt wird.
• Datenbank- Abfragen: Über eine direkte Datenbank- Verbindung (z.B. ODBC) werden Workflows gestartet, wenn an neuer Datensatz in der überwachten Tabelle / Abfrage angefügt wird.

Email- Trigger können vom Endkunden selber angelegt werden. Für dateibasierte und Trigger mit direkten Datenbank- Abfragen sprechen Sie uns bitte an.

Klicken Sie auf „Neue Datenquelle erstellen“

Tragen sie zuerst den Namen für die neue Datenquelle ein. Der Name sollte so gewählt sein, dass mit ihm der Erstellende wie auch andere Personen assoziieren können, was die Aufgabe oder der Zweck der Datenquelle ist.

Wählen Sie dann den Quellentyp aus. Es stehen drei Typen zur Verfügung:

• Email-Konto
• Textdatei (XML/JSON/CSV)
• Datenbank

Je nach ausgewähltem Quellentyp werden die benötigten Informationen abgefragt.

Beim Email-Konto sind das:
E-Mail-Adresse / Benutzername, IMAP Server, IMAP Port und IMAP IDLE verwenden J/N sowie das Passwort.

Bei der Textdatei sind das:
Dateipfad und Dateityp (XML/JSON/CSV)

Bei der Datenbank sind das:
Datenbanktyp (SQL Server, PostgreSQL , MySQL oder Oracle) sowie der Connection String

In ViraFlow, data sources act as triggers for workflows. This means that workflows are automatically initiated as soon as certain events occur in a connected data source, such as the creation of new records or the updating of existing information.

ViraFlow distinguishes between three types of triggers:

• Email triggers: (monitors an email inbox) and starts connected workflows whenever a new email arrives
• File-based triggers: e.g., JSON, XML, or CSV files. These triggers start workflows when a new record is appended to a file or when a new file is created (by a source system).
• Database queries: Via a direct database connection (e.g., ODBC), workflows are triggered whenever a new record is added to the monitored table or query.

Email triggers can be created by the end customer. For file-based triggers and triggers using direct database queries, please contact us.

Click “Create New Data Source”

First, enter a name for the new data source. The name should be chosen so that both the creator and others can easily understand the purpose or function of the data source.

Then select the source type. There are three types available:

• Email account
  Text file (XML/JSON/CSV)
  Database

Depending on the selected source type, you will be prompted to enter the required information.

For an email account, this includes:
Email address / username, IMAP server, IMAP port, “Use IMAP IDLE” (Y/N), and the password.

For a text file, these are:
File path and file type (XML/JSON/CSV)

For a database, these are:
Database type (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and the connection string

Click “Save”
